Episodes
"Gay Witch Hunt"
Jim has moved to Stamford, and has to get used to a new environment and new people. Karen Filippelli seems to dislike Jim and doesn't think he's fitting in with everyone else. She calls him out on his frequent camera mugging.
"The Coup"
The employees at Stamford like to play Call of Duty, a video game. Karen's screen name is KarenTheJimSlayer. She is considerably better than Jim (as is...everyone else in the office), and laughs at how bad he is at the game. But she admits that she finds it cute when.
"Grief Counseling"
Karen's favorite chips are Herr's Salt and Vinegar Chips. When the vending machine is out of them, Jim (as her "project supervisor" for the day) helps her spend the day tracking down a bag. During their search, she makes a call to a Montreal supermarket...in French.
"Initiation"
Karen comes to work to find that Jim switched her chair with his squeaky chair, and waits for him to get out of his seat to reclaim her chair (which he claims she stole from him in the first place). She even resorts to asking Andy for help. Karen tries to annoy Jim by constantly making her chair squeak, but it backfires when Jim retaliates by singing "Lovefool" by The Cardigans in a high-pitched key.
"Diwali"
The Stamford sales staff have a late night doing "order form consolidation." While Jim and Andy get drunk, Karen pretends to take shots with them. Karen gives Jim a ride home when he's too drunk to ride his bike.
"Branch Closing"
Word gets out that the Scranton branch is closing and that some employees would be moving to Stamford. However, the situation turns around when Stamford's manager Josh Porter takes another job. Karen considers moving to Scranton, while Jim encourages her to move to New York. Later, Jim tells her that he is going back to Scranton and that she should go as well. This makes her happy, and she admits that she is kind of into Jim.
"The Merger"
Stamford employees have their first day in Scranton. As Michael and Dwight prepare for the new staff, they figure that Karen could be Italian...or Filipino. When Karen arrives, she immediately compliments Pam for the sweater her mother made. However, Michael offends Karen when he comments on her "exotic" looks and asks if her dad was a G.I. The Stamford transfers have a hard time adjusting to Scranton: Karen mistakes Phyllis's perfume as a bad odor saying it smells like a funeral home, and further offends Phyllis by not knowing who her husband Bob Vance is. Michael tries a series of team building activities, including letting the air out of everyone's tires. This gives Karen a chance to redeem herself to Phyllis by identifying Bob Vance. And Pam notices that Jim and Karen have become pretty close.
"The Convict"
Jim tells the camera crew that he and Karen just started seeing each other. Also, Karen wants in on the prank when Jim starts giving Andy phony tips on how to impress Pam. However, Jim tells her that that should give Pam a break and try to find someone else.
"Benihana Christmas"
The Party Planning Committee, led by Angela, are putting together the Office Christmas party. Karen tries to chip in with her ideas to make the former Stamford employees feel more at home, but Angela shoots them all down. Pam and Karen think Angela acted ridiculous and decide to throw another party as "The Committee to Plan Parties." Angela tries to have them disbanded by Dwight, but Jim (as number two in the office) overrides Angela and Dwight. The girls compete to have the better Christmas party, but Karen and Pam eventually decide to merge parties with Angela.
"Back from Vacation"
Karen is living in a hotel and still searching for an apartment in Scranton. She notices that one is available two blocks away from Jim, but Jim feels uncomfortable with her moving into that apartment. Later, Jim gives her paperwork involving the apartment to show her that he's okay with her renting it. Karen later thanks Pam for talking sense into Jim.
